Our Story

A little diner car with a long history and a big attitude

The Little Depot Diner
The Little Depot Diner

Downtown Peabody

Deemed by our customers As the “Cheers of Diners”, where we truly know e everybody’s name thanks to our local customer base; and if we don’t know you, we want to know you!

Our diner is a 15-stool Worcester Lunch Car (#650) built in 1929 in Worcester, Massachusetts. It was first located in the surrounding towns of Danvers and Lynn before making its final stop here in Peabody Square, where it has stood since 1950. Most of the diner, along with the stools, tile floor and walls are original from 1929.

Since 2017, the diner has been proudly owned and operated by The Maxwell Family.
